I embrace change, and the tools that can help others understand the need for it and the benefits of it. I find meaning in making things better, and that is what continues to drive me.
People get excited about the promise of a project – efficiencies to be gained, praise from the boss, added bullet points on a resume, and a general sense of achievement. In contrast, the time needed to plan for those outcomes is boring, tedious, and uninspiring.
My lack of knowledge in getting a group to collaborate towards a common, well-defined goal was painfully obvious.
